27-08-2007 // Only two weeks separate us from the 7th Slovenian Alpine Marathon (SAM), the most beautiful alpine marathon in Slovenia. Here's everything you need to know prior to the race.

Events:

 

Ultra 50K

20 km of local asphalt roads  + 30 km of mountain paths, meadows and forest trails.

Altitude gain/loss +2080/-1655.

           

            Start: Town of Preddvor at Hotel Bor terrace at 8.00am

 

Marathon 35K

5 km of city asphalt road + 30 km of mountain paths, meadows and forest trails.

Altitude gain/loss +1810/-1430 .

 

            Start: Town of Trzic near the main bus station at 8.00am

           

Trail run 10K

10 km loop around the stunning Jezersko valley along mostly forest trails and forest roads. Altitude gain/loss +/-150.

 

            Start: Town of Preddvor afront of Plansarsko lake at 9.00 AM

Please note, the last day for placing an entry is 6th September 2007. There are rooms available in Hotel Bor, the beautiful starting place for the Ultra (B&B from 25€/person; http://www.hotel-bor.si/, info@hotelbor.si ) and Hotel Bio in Jezersko (B&B from 28 €/person; http://www.jezersko.m-hotel.si/, hotel.planinka@siol.net ), the finish for all three events.
